WHY I STARTED THIS

"It is nice to be seen."

I'm a busy, full-time working solo mom of teenagers. My days start early and end late, and somewhere in the rush I've noticed the little things slipping away. Eye contact with a stranger. A simple "hi"; in the grocery line. Everywhere I look, heads are bowed toward phones.

One day on a walk, I complimented a woman I passed. She stopped and said, "It's nice to be seen." I haven't forgotten it. In a busy world, so many of us go unseen. Not unloved, just unmentioned.

And it isn't  just out in public. It's at my own kitchen table. I ask my kids how their day was and get "fine." I sit down to lunch with my aging parents, people I love, and sometimes it's hard to know how to get the conversation started. A friend comes to visit, and we stay safely on the surface: work, the weather,
what's new.

I crave more than that. I want real connection and real conversation, the kind where you learn something new about someone you thought you already knew.

It started with me. Every Friday, I wake up early, before the house stirs, and sit down with my coffee and five questions for the week. I take the time to write my answers down and reflect on everything the week held. It's my time, just me and my thoughts, before the busy day begins. That quiet ritual became something I looked forward to all week.

I started asking myself: if a few good questions could mean that much to me, what could they do for the people around me? How do we turn "fine" into a story, and small talk into something that matters?

I know how much it would mean to open my mailbox and find a note that says someone was thinking of me.

So, I started Heartfelt Delivery: a way to make sure the people we care about hear it, every month. Each packet arrives with everything you need to slow down and reconnect with yourself or someone else:

  • A notecard with a heartfelt message reminding you that you're loved, plus simple games on the back to play together

  • Conversation questions that open doors to deeper talks, or to quiet reflection in your journal

  • Gratitude cards to share and pay forward

  • A monthly surprise to make you smile

This envelope of goodies gives us a reason to put the phones down, look each other in the eye, and talk. Because real connection starts with a simple question.

With love,

Kim - Founder, Heartfelt Delivery
